Hi Len,
I tried this with one client in the past and my experience taught me not to
bother again unless I totally trust the client to be able to understand what
s/he is doing. The client didn't mess anything up for other domains on the
same server or anything else drastic like that, but they did require a
helluva lot of hand holding in the first month or so. Granted, they weren't
from a technical background (they sell menswear) and do tend to require a
lot of hand holding in all aspects of services we provide them.
As for charging for the host admin facility. Not sure if this would be
totally ethical as, after all, you only need to check a box to set it up. Of
course the client doesn't know this. I say offer it as a value added
service, but charge them for support/handholding as they'll definitely need
it.
