I thought we had this problem, but I always attributed it to some other mail server. Maybe it is an imail problem.

If you can learn the ip addresses of the sending SMTP servers (the MTA) that says it sent mail that took a long time to arrive at Imail, then search your Imail sysMMDD.txt logs for :

[ip.ad.re.ss] connect ww.xx.yy.zz

where [ip.ad.re.ss] is your Imail server's ip (for the domain targeted by the slow-to-arrive mail), and ww.xx.yy.zz is the ip of the server ( not ip of "@senderdomain" ) that says mail arrives slowly.  If you can't find any ww.xx.yy.zz, then it's not Imail's fault, since no contact was made.

If you can find some ww.xx.yy.zz instances, then follow the corresponding SMTPD pid through ensuing SMTP dialog to see what happened, good or bad.
