Hi April
>I have a customer with a domain on my Imail server. He has just installed
>Lotus Notes 4.65.
that's a mail server, among other things, isn't it? Will he keep his mail
domain with you or bring it in-house to his Notes?
>What changes if any, do I make in his Imail settings, and what does he
>enter into the Lotus Notes server to get it to send/receive mail...
If his Notes server is going to read all the POP3 accounts on your machine,
then there is nothing to do. It's trasparent to Imail.
>He says his internet ACCESS provider (not me, I host only) tells him he
>will need "an smtp dialup to get his mail" - which sounds insane.
If he doesn't have a leased line, then he must dial out from his LAN and
Notes to pick up mail from you.
Sorry, but it's not clear what teh role of his Notes his vis a vis your
Imail server.
If he moves his mail domain to Notes, then your Imail could be a relay
server with ETRN, but he would need a fixe ip address for that.
