I have an IMail 6.04 server running with the Fax option installed. I've had
it running now for close to a month, and have yet to get the Fax system
working properly.

The fax modem in question is a USRobotics Sportster 56K internal on a
dedicated phone line - nothing odd or unusual.

Whenever a fax is sent through the server, the system faxes it out
immediately. The fax is received fine by the recipient. However, for some
reason the server seems to think it failed - and tries four more times.
Each time the fax is received properly, and each time the server thinks it
failed. Eventually, the server "gives up" and sends an error back to the
author of the email detailing the "failure". Meanwhile, the recipient is
left holding five copies of the same fax.

I don't want to set the retry=0, as this will stop it from resending faxes
to legitimately busy numbers. I've tried sending to various recipients -
several different fax machines and two fax modems. The same thing happens
every time regardless of the recipient.

Any suggestions would be more than welcome.
