It would help, if each account had different passwords. Then if you do get
in, you know which password was used and therefor which account you really
got. If your Client setup always uses the same password, then you  know you
got to just one of the accounts (should be denied access if password is
'wrong'). Also, you should send different email to each account and see ONLY
those messages sent to that account are in that account. Seeing this in the
Web or via IMail Client (on the server, no 'POP3' data needed!), will verify
if the mail is really going where it is supposed to and is unique for each
user (both of which should be true with different Top Dirs).

In NS, the configuration for logging into a domain with an IP is a LOT
different than one without an IP (assuming that one of the domains has an IP
and the other does not). As others have said, NS connecting to a non-ip
domain, does need a different 'user id', typically:
user%virtualdomain@Primarydomain(with IP).
