Yes. I think it is o.k., if his client is properly configured. For
instance, in Eudora at least, the return address can be
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and the smtp server can be "aol.com" or
whatever. They don't have to be the same domain name.
My laptop is setup this way. When I travel, I log into a local pop of a
national ISP and use their smtp server for sending, but the From-address
and Reply-To-address still show my regular email address and domain. I
connect to my regular pop3 (here) to get my mail, as usual.
