You need only stop/start the SMTP service for it to read the new registry
data. A restart will garantee that all current SMTP32 sessions are shut down
so the new setting will be enforced. I have 'KILL'ed (NT resource kit) all
the SMTP 32 processes, then stop SMTP service, make MaxQueProc change, then
start SMTP service and new limit was used.

May I suggest you do not make this change? If you are not seeing more than a
small number of SMTP32.exe in Task Manager,on a regular basis, or never see
it at 30 processes, there is no need for the increase. It won't hurt right
now (it won't be used!), but some day, in the future, who knows..... And it
won't have any effect on your current situation, from what you have
indicated so far!
