We have over 1000 locations using dialup to send and receive mail through
our server. I need to lock this down a bit. I would prefer to do it without
SMTP AUTH since this would require a LOT of tech support work to get all
these locations changed over to doing mail this way. Is there an ability yet
to do POP before SMTP? What this does is only relay mail for IP addresses
that have successfully POP'd the server. It requires no changes to the
standard mail program setup. Any clue if this is available, or if it will be
made available shortly? I HATE running an open relay.
