I'm not much of a networking guru. A Mac User best describes me. LOL
That said, I bought me a little 1U server with a copy of NetMax on
it, which is a version of Linux with the firewall built in. It came
configured and has a web based interface where you can go in and set
up your rules. It's probably more powerful than I know how to use it,
but I was able to go in and set rules to block access to ports 137,
138 and 139 and cool things like that in addition to the default
rules of blocking IP spoofing and stuff like that.
