Are you looking to upgrade just the CPU in an existing system?  I didn't the
the chips were socket compatible.

As for new systems I have never had any problems with AMD chips,  but for
business/server use I never considered the price/performance spread enough to
overcome the old "nobody ever got fired for buying XXX" test.
