Depends on how you define cite. If say that 822 says first come first
served with the allocation of domain names, am I citing it?

Apart from my first mail, and the implication in the knowledge base article

If someone who uses the programme and can say that it does accept bounces is
not authoritative, I am not entirely sure what is

So, in short, your experience is based on no experience

Like users don't click on attachements

So take it up with them

So you thought that if you complain loudly to one group of people, you would
affect the behaviour of another. Well, you certainly have me convinced. Next
time I'm in the UK i'm going to Bradford to annoy the indian population,
that'll stop the Indian/Pakistan border dispute straight away

The MTA *doesn't* have anti social behaviour, though it can be configured
that way. Why not kick up a stink at Ford Motor Company because someone with
a Ford Escort is doing skids outside your house.
Send it to the vendor, sending here is like sending a post to
alt.graphics.photoshop and expecting adobe to read it. Sure, Ipswich host
the list, but they say themselves that they have little else to do with it,
though Ipswich techs may comment from time to time

So take it up with them. Valid complaints though, I don't disagree with you.
But complaining to the wrong people about what you *think* is the situation
as opposed to what is the *actual* situation isn't going to change anything,
but then I am in Barcelona being trained (not *from* barcelona though), so
perhaps I have a skewed view of how things work.
