Jim,

The following has worked for me, in OE, both when the 'Message no longer on
server' and when the message count indicates less than Web Msg:

Remove the account from OE. Create the account again, make it get the
folders, then it will get the messages from each folder, as you open them. I
use IMAP, too.

If using POP3 and messages are stored on the server, this should work, too.

I also found that just 'synchronizing the account was not any help, in
almost every case. I cannot remember it ever 'fixing' anything.
