You're right that setting up a test server would be a good idea, but I don't have a
spare server right now.
I wonder how carefully you've tested your IMail setup to see if you have this problem.
Let me ask you this: people sometimes send
mail where there display name is "lastname, firstname". Can you successfully view
such messages in your client? That is, can you
view messages that have a comma in the display part of the From:, To: or Cc: lines?
Also, which client do you use. I think Outlook Express 5.x is more intolerant of
corrupted mail headers than older products because
it's trying to prevent viruses & similar problems.
Pardon me for questioning you, but I think this problem is so insidious that you might
have a problem and not know it.
