Here's my take on this. It looks like IMail *IS* choking on the comma in the E-mail
address, and is causing the problem with the "invisible messages".
It looks like the part of the log right after the subject should be a parsed version
of the E-mail address, in the format '( "user name", "something", "username", "domain"
)'. However, when there is a comma in the user name, it appears that it chokes, and
gets the username from the very first character of the "From" address (the quote).
So, it thinks the E-mail address in this case is '"Jim
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'.

This would make sense, as the From: address is obviously malformed (by IMail), as it
has a space and a quote in it, neither of which are allowed.
I haven't looked at IMAP log files before, so I can't say much with certainty. But,
it looks suspiciously like we've found the culpit, and it would explain why all works
well with the same headers using another mail server.
