Excellent point. Given the available equipment, Linux may be the best
performer. Another person mentioned that I should go ahead and learn Linux
or other Unix variant. I do have a beginner's knowledge of Linux, so that's
a start. My concern has been upkeep, as it takes experience and not
paper-learning to solve day-to-day anomalies. Once set up, how much trouble
should I expect from the box and how hard (on average) is it to keep up with
patches and hotfixes?
