I was having problems with web messaging crashing repeatedly and we had to
leave it disabled overnight. The next day I stepped through the
configuration and the final recommendation was to increase swap from 1.5X to
3X RAM. I couldn't do it at the time because it was a peak usage time, so I
decided to wait. I did further analysis and the system is not even using
all of physical RAM, so it would not seem that the swap file increase would
help.

It turned out to run for about 4 weeks without crashing; making no
changes to the system settings. Finally, the most recent webmail patch was
installed.

Earlier I thought there must have been a threading problem in Webmail,
but I retract that now because it ran those 4 weeks with no problems. It's
more like a bad mailbox or message causing it to crash; when we shut the
system down overnight, the person with the problem account used a different
E-mail client to read their mail and remove the bad message.
