It doesn't change the equation at all. LinkSys cards are not stable on
NT/2000, and likely ME as well. They seem to run great under
DOS/3.1/Unix/95/98. Updated drivers won't help. Your mileage may
vary. If you receive BSOD's or other unexplainable problems and have a
LinkSys card, it is definitely worth trying another brand of network
card. The worst that can happen is you spend $20-30 or so on a network
card that doesn't fix the problem.
