Here the answers to some of your questions.
First off, your SOA record is registered with Network solutions as going
through INETU.NET.
That means when computers from around the globe come looking for
marlinefirearms.com they query these DNS servers.

Domain Name: MARLINFIREARMS.COM
   Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
   Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
   Referral URL: http://www.networksolutions.com
   Name Server: NS3.INETU.NET<--------------------------------------Here and
below
   Name Server:
NS4.INETU.NET<---------------------------------------!!!!!!!!!
   Updated Date: 13-jun-2001

Now these DNS servers tell other computers wishing to send mail to forward
the packets to the IP address listed below which I am assuming is the IP
address of your mail server.

Pinging mail.marlinfirearms.com [64.252.95.57]<--------------HERE
 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 64.252.95.57: bytes=32 time=121ms TTL=117
Reply from 64.252.95.57: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=117
Reply from 64.252.95.57: bytes=32 time=90ms TTL=117
Reply from 64.252.95.57: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=117

If this is incorrect please call whomever manages these DNS server and have
the IP changed..

Next, to send mail use the SMTP server of your Internet Service provider not
your domain. Recieve thourgh domain, send through ISP is a good rule of
thumb. Make sure all entries on your in-house DNS do not conflict with any
of this information or it may create problems across your network. In
addition, 550 is almost always a relay error, and your outbound mail was
being bounced because your ISP does not allow any sort of relay, but it
seems you have corrected it.

If it is working, I say let it be.
If you have any other questions just let me know.
