Thank you.

Yes, I understand that DNS servers can be anywhere in the world...but I
have no control over entering new records on a DNS server unless the DNS
server happens to be on my server.  Correct?  Who is going to give me
complete control over creating new "A records" and "MX records" for
free?   Since I already have a colocated IIS server, doesn't it make
sense for my server to handle the DNS record handling on my server?

The confusing part in this discussion is this talk as if I can just turn
off my DNS services on my web server and everything will be fine.  If I
did that, no one would be able to access any of the hosted web sites on
my server.
