I implemented Eric's tip about setting the Imail services to run as a user,
and Sandy's about changing only the topdir field in Imail administrator, and
viola! I can now send lists without errors.
Unfortunately, mindbogglingly, the active list directory is unchanged after
this procedure - that is to say, I can change subscribers by poking a
users.lst & .txt file into the \imail\lists directory on the server's drive,
but the list directories on the network drive appear to be ignored. I would
have thought the list directory is relative to the domain TopDir, not the
program directory. This is time-consuming experimentation, and I suspect I'm
not done yet.
Many thanks for the help so far!
