ok, that's a good validation.
do you have Eudora 5 available where you could create personality for the failing account (or a new one that also fails) and SMTP AUTH it with Eudora, to eliminate OE as cause?Absolutley certain, tested it myself not 20 minutes ago.
I can test with Eudora from here if you give me an account that has this problem.
