What about Imail logging? Do you have clear maillog trace of SMTP AUTH that works, perhaps even with debugging on, to compare as baseline against one that fails?
what about the exact msg from OE?
are you sure they are presenting their entire "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and not just "sender"?
