You mean 100 different SMTP sessions from the same ip? block such ip's at your edge router.How does it handle multiple connections coming from the same ip?I have a client that is using NAT and they have about a 100 users coming from the same IP.
BlackIce and other host-based packet filtering is fine if that is all you have, and is better than host-based SMTP filtering, but network-based packet and SMTP filtering is best for handling DoS attacks.
