When smtp down, sometimes port25 not accepting connections, sometimes it connects but didn't receive welcome mess.

IMail Admin says there are 12 items in queue, in spool dir, there are more then 500 smd files

Imail Disk idle time avg %73, min %0.640, max %100 read bytes/sec avg 250.000, min 0 max 6500000 split io/sec avg 2.5, min 0, max 22
Win sys + spool disk idle time avg %93
Task Man (while relay for everyone)
smtpd, more then 20 sec, it uses more then %20 max %55, then it is below %20 for a sec and then up
sometimes with iwebmsg + (only 1) smtp total cpu usage >%95 for 5-10 sec and then goes down
Most of the time, total cpu usage between 60% and 20% every 5 sec
Using Imail Database (registry)
Imail Pop3d log (20030609 090759 - 20030609 090859) (daily 45 mb) 150 log in/off in 1 min pop3 (total of ~300 lines)

I will examine the smtp log also, what should I look for? (daily 70mb log file)
Not using SSL over Web mail
Not using imgate, declude, virus
Imail gets the smtp from users and (gateway) Outgoing smtp send mails to iis smtp service. It works well
