Haven't had any false positives since I started using it about 4 months ago. So your opinion of wisest is out of place.
The catch here is that different people have different "spam profiles" (the type of spam they get, based on how long the domain/users have been around, where their addresses appear on the Internet, etc.), and "legitimate mail profiles" (for example, ISPs typically get a lot of their legitimate mail from other ISPs, whereas a business-to-business company would get a lot less legitimate mail from ISPs).
And, it's very difficult to determine FP (false positive) ratios. For example, Len recently pointed out that it is nearly impossible to determine false positive ratios if you reject/delete E-mail. So in your case, you are not actually saying "I haven't had any false positives"; you're saying "I am not aware of any false positives." You could well be losing mail and not knowing it.
FWIW, though, we've see about a .03% false positive ratio (about 1 legitimate E-mail out of 3,000 legitimate E-mails caught), which is excellent. While *we* can't delete those (for example, one was from someone posting to the Declude JunkMail mailing list, asking how to get out of Spamcop!), many people safely could.
And, as John pointed out, Spamcop does list IPs based on a single spam complaint (valid or not). Some people will see FP ratios much higher than what we saw. That's why we typically recommend a weighted system for most of our customers.
