Would not touch it with a long stick, with the hardware that you have I
would only use win98se. We had some off the same hardware and we
upgraded to win2k but we upgraded the memory to 256. If you want to do
the same then I would say use Compaq memory and only Compaq memory, cost
more but worth it. WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE WIN ME

I can tell you here at work we got an offer from IBM for a current 2ghz
box with XP Pro on it for $600. You may want to talk to IBM.
