6. what types of file attachments are allowed and their max sizes (announced file attachment size = 75% of disk file size)
7. make sure you create and announce different DNS domain names / A records for each mail service for each domain for them to put into their mail apps:
pop.domain.com. A ip.ad.re.ss ; read mailbox smtp.domain.com. A ip.ad.re.ss ; authenticated outbound mail submission ldap.domain.com. A ip.ad.re.ss ; read mailbox webmail.domain.com. A ip.ad.re.ss ; left as an exercise
off the other cuff:
8. how to expose full message headers in their mail programs and how to forward all of a msg to an email address.
9. point out that all messages headers are forgeable, not trustable.
10. max number of recipients allowed in the to: , cc: , and bcc: fields.
11. internet email delivery and traceability are NOT guaranteed by anybody
12. internet email delivery delays are NOT guaranteed by anybody.
13. internet email is as secure as a postcard (assume anybody can read and will read it)
14. For all of the above reasons, important communications ( life/death, $$$, contracts, $$$, big sales/orders, etc ) must NOT be transmitted (only) by email. (use a legally traceable, verifiable, secure, physical item, like registered mail or courrier)
15. You, ISP, assume no responsibility for mail delivery success or failure.
