In reality the 10054 error is a Winsock error coming back from the TCP Stack that means the connection was broken at the other end. This is usually indicative of a network problem somewhere..First thing I look at is the NIC configuration and drivers..Make sure all power management for the NIC(s) is disabled. Make sure you are running a "Server" class NIC..If you think everything is ok through a packet sniffer on the wire to actually see what is happening.
