Is he using Cox cable, Comcast or Earthlink? If so they block port 25 and he
will have to use there ISP's smtp server to send mail. Some other ISP's do
the same thing.

Subject: [IMail Forum] User getting error 0X800CCC0E but can receive
mail

Ive got a user getting error 0X800CCC0E in OE v6.

He can receive mail fine but can not send. Ive removed accounts, added made
sure all settings were ok even went to the point of installing vnc on his
system and checking settings.

I can telnet to port 110 but not 25.

Im toying with the idea to rip dun and reinstall.....

Odd thing is he is the only person having this problem. Anyone ever see
this???
