Do all the queue files follow the same pattern of Qxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.yyy where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is a ascii representation of a DWORD value and yyy is some extention? I am particularly interested in the name before the extension.
If you search the Knowledge Base, you'll find a lot of information on them.
The Q*.SMD files contain the SMTP envelope information, and start as T*.* as the E-mail is arriving and are temporarily _*.~?? as the E-mails are being processed. The D*.SMD files contain the actual E-mails.
There are various extensions for various purposes.
The rest of the name follows several different formats. In early IMail v7 versions and earlier, there were only 7 distinct characters in the filename. With newer versions, there are 16 (which appear to be 4 hexadecimal characters followed by the "Connection #" -- as seen in the SMTPD lines in the log file -- followed by another 4 hexadecimal characters).
