At first, I was worried about this comment, as if I'm trying to pull a fast one or something, but I'm guessing it was meant only to help.

Yes, it was meant to help. Many, many people get paranoid about being listed in a spam database. I must have had dozens of people that came to me asking me how to get them out of the (now dead) URBL spam database. That one lists every IP. About 95% of the people who report problems with being listed in spam databases fall into one of the above 3 categories. It sounds like you may or may not, depending on whether SPEWS counts as an important spam database.

Given that you gave no information about why you think you are listed in spam databases, what IP(s) are involved, etc., I had to assume the least amount of knowledge on your part. It is now clear that you know a lot more about the situation than I originally assumed.

I have already expressed the "why"... twice now.

No, you did not. You explained why you *think* you need to do it, but without enough details to show whether or not it needs to be done. If you were just listed in the BLARSBL spam database, for example, it would have been pointless for you to move to another IP. Given that you are apparently listed in SPEWS, the situation is a bit different.

I can tell you this -- I know for a fact our IP range (but not our individual server) is blacklisted and blocked... not just by the normal blacklist channels, but by individual ISPs. For just one example, we've been unable to send to rr.com for at least two weeks.

rr.com is a totally different issue. If they have blacklisted your IP, they will almost certainly blacklist your next IP. They block a lot of legitimate E-mail. They block our E-mail, and occasionally even block E-mail sent through our Internet provider's mailserver. We are anti-spam experts, have never had a spammer compromise our mailservers, have everything set up properly, etc., and they still block us.

What I would recommend doing for rr.com is re-route their E-mail through your Internet provider's mailserver. You can do that by adding a line to your HOSTS file.

To fully counter your "most likely" assertions,

"and" and "or" are very, very different. There is no need to counter the assertions.

[3] We're in enough blacklists (or just the right ones), individual or third-party, to have significant problems with message bounces of legit mail to legit boxes.

Sorry for the length. I didn't want this to take this direction; I only wanted to find someone to help.

That's what I do here. :)

If all you want is someone to host your E-mail, I can't help (aside from what I already suggested). However, if you are looking to solve your problem, I can probably help more than most can. But without knowing your IP address, one can only make general suggestions.
