Yeah, it's kind of like getting all the declude emails.

|
| I hate to say it, but if someone doesn't have the time to search the
| archives (and waste everyone's time by posting a "me too" to the list that
| could have been sent directly to the original poster), they really don't
| deserve much help besides where to go for more information. It's that old
| saying about how if you give someone a fish, they will eat for a day --
but
| if you teach them how to fish, they will eat for a lifetime.
|
| It's one thing to deal with a simple question ("Can IMail do XYZ"), where
I
| can respond with "Yes, see http://www.ipswitch.com/kb/... for details"
| (both answering the question and providing a link). But in this case, in
| order for me to post a link, I'll have to do the exact same thing that you
| would have to do (go to http://www.mail-archive.com, go to the IMail Forum
| archives, and enter an appropriate search term, such as "ban file
| extensions"). This is a complex topic (false positives, false negatives,
| "name=" vs "filename=", uuencoding/encoding/binhex/TNEF/etc,
| "yahoo.com.url", etc.), that I've posted about this perhaps a dozen times,
| and I just don't have the time to bend over backwards for these people
that
| are in all honesty being rude.
|
| In case I sound harsh here, remember that more than HALF of the posts here
| were "me too's", that were 100% useless posts. That means that the
| signal-to-noise ratio here today is definitely <50%. Usually when it is
| that low, it's due to people arguing -- which isn't a good thing on a
list,
| but at least is more interesting than seeing "Please send me a
| copy...thanks", "I would like a copy also", "Please send me a
| copy...thanks.", "May I have a copy too.", etc.
