My thanks for John and several others that responded to my request. I
received several responses from OL 2003 and a couple from OE 6 (and I found
another machine to test myself). Here is the strange and unexpected (to me)
part: all of these test messages came through without failing the CMDSPACE
test. So just when I thought I had it all figured out, the results are not
consistent with my understanding.

My thinking was that there are certain versions of OL and OE that had this
RFC flaw that, in turn, caused the CMDSPACE test to fail. However, here is
what I observed:

1. I received several messages from OL2003 machines without a problem.
2. John send me a message from OE version 6.00.2800.1123 without a problem.
3. I sent myself a message from my notebook at home, which is also running
OE version 6.00.2800.1123, and it DID fail the CMDSPACE test.
4. I just sent a message from one of our office desktop PCs, also running OE
version 6.00.2800.1123, and it also failed the CMDSPACE test.

I don't understand why John's message was unaffected by CMDSPACE, while my
test messages (both in-office and from my home), using the same exact
version of OE, failed the test. The only other difference that I can see is
that our messages were internal to our server, whereas John's message (and
the others) came from outside.

Scott, can you enlighten me before I borrow a bottle of bourbon? Just for
reference, we are using JMail Pro.

Ben
