Well, from the high SMTPD count and low SMTP count, looks like it can be
attributed to lots of incoming spam.  This could be attributed to a large
spam run, a joe job, or dictionary attack.  Are you using the "nobody"
alias?  If so, your IMail server will receive e-mail for any bogus e-mail
addressed to your domains.  If you are using the "nobody" alias, you might
want to consider disabling it.  Your might also look at implementing some
spam controls, either through IMail's built-in spam filters or by
implementing something like Declude JunkMail.
