For what it is worth, I had significant stability problems with MailMax when I inherited a setup about 2 years ago. Feature wise, it didn't light my fire. Support was reasonably easy to get a hold of, but they never helped me solve the stability issued I had. I am sure they have a newer version which may or may not be comparable.
