I think your report on trying to trial of ICS is useful, but at this point, I have yet to see Ipswitch make any serious response to anyone. I really believe they are under one of two scenarios: either they are in serious financial straights and are making a desparation ploy, or they simply want to dump their current market and aim for a more elite, higher-paying market.
