They opened a lot of eyes Matt, SmaterMail is looking better all the time. I may just setup a test server and play with it myself. I heard from a Declude salesperson that they are considering the idea of building email gateway software that will work for all email servers.

An unlimited license is something like US$230. For those prices, I can afford to experiment and, if no joy, go to Merak. However so far SM looks good and I think its a safe bet that the 3rd party tools we all love will be supported by it soon.
