What exactly do you think I'm trying to do here?

Proving that Sun has control.

You've done that, involuntarily, by proposing up front to use
"OpenSolaris" as a distro name, thus flexing Sun's trademark muscle.

The Community can't do that, you know it. Only Sun can. So it can't be a
project controlled by the Community, since Sun could choose, at any
moment, to remove its trademark.

If I wanted to prove Sun has control, don't you think I'd just declare
the issue closed?
