Are you suggesting that everything Sun wishes to contribute be thrown away?
If Sun isn't even allowed to *suggest* the term then maybe they shouldn't be allowed to include ZFS, Zones, ON or anything else. Honestly, if this has ZFS in it, I'm not sure I want to be a part of it because then it'll be 'Sun's' project and not a community. Ian brought up points with regard as to *why* to call it OpenSolaris. Let's discuss those points instead of whining because it would behoove us ALL to fix the problems that he has pointed out (specifically, compatibility among distros). Can anyone tell me how to restart apache in each linux distro? I can't remember because it's different on them all. Arguably you can figure it out by RTFM but this is still why Linux costs more than Windows for far too many people.
