Scale to what? The size of X isn't changing greatly - if anything,
we're reducing the size of the X gate by removing the old X11R6
components (including eventually Xsun).
You'ld rather we build a system on which you can't install Java,
Sun Ray, Oracle, or any other existing package that depends on
our current package layout?
