I have started with pure Nexenta based ON install and started to add piece by piece necessary software packages and recompiled ONNV between each step to see where I get. The initial result is not bad, I was able to compile src/unix without bigger problems, however I had a mixed feeling with the rest (/usr/cmd) Some of the things need gcc, some of them need CC, some of them need java, wbem, whatever... each of it has its own makefile defining each own variables (of course used by other projects)..., some of the things compile in multiple passes, and of course there is no docs, it's just one big ... well WOS. just my .2 cents, Martin -- http://martinman.net _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
