The problem comes if you're compiling applications from source,
./configure detects the system as Solaris and assumes its userland, then
the compilation breaks left and right because the tools don't behave as
expected.

Also, I think this should be an option in the installer. Yeah, I can
fiddle around and change the path post-install, but why not offer the
choice from the get go, which would be in the installer?
