Hi Suresh, Yes, the change was included in RC1.5, but since RC1.5 was
Sun internal temporary build, I said it as RC2.
Attached is the email about the default change.
BTW, iiim service will still be enabled in English locales by default.
So, this change is not relating with the problem which happens when iiim
service was disabled.

Hasegawa-san,
Do you mean in RC1.5 ?
Suresh
BTW, this is the default configuration for English locales from RC2.
Thanks,
Fuyuki

Please note that this change affects only new users or who did gnome-cleanup.
Also, note the following.
IIIMF default configuration such as IM trigger key will be determined by
locale at the first desktop login time (and also by keyboard type if
physical KB is Japanese/Korean), and will be saved under $HOME/.gconf.
This means if a new user logs in English locale first, iiim-panel and
IM trigger key will also not be available when the user logs in
non-English locales later. Conversely if a new user logs in non-English
locale first, iiim-panel and IM trigger key will be available when
the user logs in English locale later.
Thanks,
Fuyuki
