Agreed that we need to include input method in the OpenSolaris LiveCD, as,
until the philosophy changes, this is intended as a multi-lingual OS (kudos
from me).

However, do we really need something that has the potential to screw up the
entire user experience? When OpenSolaris was in a rough and tumble shape, no
one cares. But now this OS has been so vastly fine-tuned, IIIM becomes
unacceptable.

IIIM has the "propensity" of trying to make everyone aware of its presence,
both during booting up (or GNOME) and thereafter. However, when you have to
use it, this sh*t begins to malfunction a lot. (Reminds me of George Costanza).

In comparison, I never notice that SCIM has been loaded into the system. And
when I activate it, I haven't had to worry whether it will stay on long enough
to finish the job.
