EMS Workforce Project Launched
The federal government has embarked on another EMS Agenda project. This one, which got underway at the first meeting of the steering committee in February, seeks to create an EMS Workforce Agenda for the Future and will include a comprehensive assessment of existing EMS workforce research and data sources as well as recommendations for improving working conditions for EMTs and paramedics in the future. | |

It seems intuitive that significant prehospital trauma patient diversions adversely impacts trauma mortality. Although the differences in this study did not reach statistical significance (meaning they possibly could be due to chance), the trend was apparent and further research is needed. | |
