Most Child Poisonings Result from Common Household Products
About 78,000 children under the age of 5 visited U.S. hospital emergency rooms due to unintentional poisonings in 2003 - about one every 7 minutes, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. Most of these poisonings included products commonly found in the home.
