At least avoided. Ok, good. We should nonetheless create a bug report (M-x report-emacs-bug). Could you please do that? I think we still need somebody to provide the (more or less complete) data that shows the slowdown - with other words, a recipe that doesn't involve setting up Gnus + scoring, to ease the work of the developers.
