Jay,
I think what everyone is trying to say it: this is a list to share info,
not surprises. I too was a little unhappy with the Java notice that I
could not disable. Perhaps you might want to offer the service (or other
additional information such as the C++ info and scripts info that you
have sent) in such a manner that the list has the option of choosing,
rather than having it fully "in our face".
Each of us has our area of interest and expertise. Give those of us that
are interested the option of overview - give those of us that find the
possible info over our head (or not of interest) the choice of non
exposure. We all get excited when we find something that can be of
benefit to the list and for that, I am glad you are a member.
