Well I did join the group, but email still seems delayed. I know how things can get with meetings though so I'll just post what I've found on SunSolve again here.
I found a Spectrum Document #77359, that has these same error messages due to using short vs. long boot device path's. I'm not sure if that has any relevance here. I found Bug #4461113, which shows this same message on a U5 due to using a x48 CDROM, but the listed fix is to go to an x32 CDROM. I'm not sure how to tell which I have. It also suggests the drive firmware should be at least 1.02 but I don't know what I have there either. It thinks that OBP 3.31 should help too. I'll have to see if I can get that installed next. Then there was bug 4462386, which had similiar problem on an SB100 with an LG CDROM drive. I know my drive is a LiteON though, and there wasn't really a fix in the bug report. Most of these bugs are pretty limited in what they show to the public. ( I really miss SunSolve.central. ;) ) Can anyone look through the hidden info and see if there's anything in there that might help that you are allowed to pass along to me? >From an email I just got it looks like I need at least OBP 3.31 on the U10, >and 4.3 on the SB100. Any one know how to upgrade OBP with out knowing the >root password, or being able to boot from CD? :D -Kyle -Kyle This message posted from opensolaris.org
