Unfortunately LU did NOT work on my s10u3 with three sparse zones. #lucreate -c s10u3 -m /:/dev/dsk/c1d0s0:ufs \ -m /zones:/dev/dsk/c1d0s4:ufs -n s10u5 seemed to run OK untill near the very end: ERROR Unable to remount ABE <s10u5>: cannot make ABE bootable ERROR No boot environment is mounted on root device </dev/dsk/c1d0s0> ERROR Making the ABE <s10u5> bootable FAILED No errors creating the zones this time on screen. However, checking the new zones they are NOT populated by the right files! Midgard only contains /root but lots of directories are missing..; shire contains /dev /lu /root but also lots of files are missing. Only yanta (the last one copied) seems completely filled. So LU with zones is still a mess. I'm absolutely sure that my s10u3 has ALL patches needed and recommended by SUN (including the long awaited cpio patch), but to no avail. Upgrading s10u3 from DVD to s10u5 also did not work, because I don't get the upgrade offered (I did when going from u2/u3), so I'm stuck. Nobody seems to know why this "upgrade" is not offered :-/ I'm out of ideas <sigh> -- Dick Hoogendijk -- PGP/GnuPG key: 01D2433D ++ http://nagual.nl/ + SunOS sxde 01/08 ++
